Sitting Bull Falls Recreation Area
is an oasis hidden in the midst of the desert where a beautiful 150-foot waterfall pours over canyon walls. You will also find picnic tables, charcoal grills, water, restrooms and a paved trail through the canyon ending at the falls. There are 16 miles of canyon land trails for hiking and biking. Pecos River Recreation Area-
Its impossible to believe that great water activities are available in a desert community but here in Carlsbad that is not the case. We have over one thousand feet of waterfront at the Beach recreation area along the Pecos River. The River provides an abundance of opportunities for fun and relaxation. Lifeguards are on duty daily during the summer, paddle boat rentals and guided cruises are available (seasonally) open year round

Guadalupe Mountains National Park-

Brantley Lake State Park-
